The first visit to Dr. Kohrs’ office is a relaxed discussion
of the patients’ orthodontic diagnosis and potential
orthodontic treatment. At this visit, a complete medical
and dental history, as well as a clinical examination will
take place. Dr. Kohrs will also provide information
regarding the likely treatment options for the patient, the
expected treatment time and the estimated treatment
cost. The first appointment at Dr. Kohrs’ office is
complimentary and serves as an opportunity for the
patient to find out more about orthodontics and the
treatment options available. At your discretion, we will complete diagnostic records at this appointment as well. This consists of plaster study models of the teeth, photographs of the patient’s face and teeth and any diagnostically necessary x-rays.
After Dr. Kohrs has evaluated your records, we will be happy to further discuss your treatment in detail, including what to expect at the upcoming appointments, patient responsibilities during orthodontic treatment, and any financial arrangements for your particular case, including insurance concerns.
